Safety Operation Procedures for Belt Conveyor

Article 1 Inspection before startup

1. Whether the screws of motor, coupling, reducer and bearing seat are complete and loose.

2. Whether the lubrication of each lubricating point is normal.

3. Whether the belt, deviation corrector, upper and lower idlers and brackets are complete and firm, and whether there are obstacles everywhere.

4. Whether the belt and rubber joint are cracked.

5. Check whether the lining plates of the hopper and the discharger are excessively worn, loose and falling off.

6. Whether the funnel is unblocked and whether the belt cleaner is easy to use.

7. Whether the automatic iron remover is normal.

Article 2 Startup and shutdown sequence

1. Start up: Before starting up, the upper and lower processes shall be properly contacted. After the electric bell rings, the equipment shall be operated in a bottom-up order with no load. Feeding can be started only after the operation is normal.

2. Shutdown: normally stop from top to bottom, stop feeding first, and then stop the machine when there is no load on the belt.

Article 3 Inspection during operation

1. The lubricating points of each part shall be checked and oiled regularly to ensure good lubrication.

2. Whether the sound and temperature of motor, reducer and all rotating parts are normal. The temperature of motor shall not exceed 60 ℃, the temperature of sliding bearing shall not exceed 55 ℃, and the temperature of rolling bearing shall not exceed 65 ℃.

3. Check the wear of idler, pulley and belt, and check whether all rotating parts are stuck or scratched; There shall be no material accumulation on the surface of each pulley and idler.

4. Check the wear and effectiveness of the cleaner and discharger.

5. Pay attention to the inspection, adjustment and belt deviation frequently.

6. Check the lining plates and fence plates of each hopper and trolley for wear.

7. Pay attention to the load on the belt and do not overload it.

Article 4 Safety Requirements

1. Before starting the belt, the bell must ring to send a signal, and the belt can only be started after confirming that there is no hidden danger.

2. During equipment operation, personnel are not allowed to cross the belt, and the belt cannot carry people or other tools, materials, equipment, etc.

3. Personnel shall not enter the hopper during equipment operation.

4. During the operation of the equipment, no maintenance or cleaning is allowed.

5. Stop the machine immediately in case of personal or equipment accidents.

6. Safety facilities shall be complete and effective.

7. During equipment maintenance, be sure to hang a signboard and cut off the power supply before proceeding.
